Maxthon has overran Firefox in these stress-tests. One of the three Stress-test Browser sites me and my school CITE course uses have matched it fairly close to Google Chrome with a slight distance behind, slowly down in performance using HTML5 code under specific conditions around Physics code.ĭuring this Stress-test, Maxthon has at most used 16% of my Laptops i7-3630QM Processor where Chrome used 34% at the same peak of the test. I'm rather enjoying it, especially for how stable and versatile it has been. Maxthon Browser, for me, has been a flawless migration to with very user-friendly settings and movement around the menu's. So I went with the decision to download it and try it. I come across a browser last night, that I have had on my Android phone for sometime, and decided to go to their website to see what extensions where available for the browser to only find out, that as of last month, the browser was available for Mac, Windows, Linux, and iOS. These issues I've been able to recreate and repeat across 4 systems(2 laptops, 2 desktops), 3 operating systems(Windows 7, Windows XP, Linux Mint), 4 separate networks (AT&T 4G/LTE, Time Warner RoadRunner Business Class, Verizon Cable and Wireless and Comcast Basic.) Not the greatest or fastest that I've used, but it is stable. This has left me for the past few weeks using Safari browser for Windows 7-64. With Firefox, the above problems with Chrome I get, are fix, but with Firefox, I have performance hog, random crashes, and while Hardware Acceleration is disabled in Flash settings, both browsers chug along in some frequent Flash Videos. Images corrupting on resizing of windows, or rescaling the zoom. I get Disconnection issues with Chrome, flash not always running correctly (Out of sync with Video and Audio from one another.) At time with Chrome, I get errors with images that will never load even through a DOD Cache clear. Several years have passed using chrome with no issues until the past couple of months. Most recent I had found, anyway, was August of 2012.įor a time, I used Firefox until the release of Firefox 3, if I recall, than switched over to Chrome Beta and have been using Chrome since that time. I'm sure this is going to vary from person to person with their preferences and experience, and I haven't seen an updated "browser-war" thread in long time, or even a recent blog post on them through Google.
